Top Education Group drops a another low, and shows signs of being gamed- Share price movements reminiscent of those seen in June 2019 just prior to re-accreditation by the NSW LPAB and TEQSA

 by Ganesh Sahathevan

Top Education Group share price shows signs of being gamed. After falling to its record low of  HK 0.036  during morning trading on the HKEX  on 17 January 2024 share price was pushed up to HK 0.046 bu what appears to have been a (relatively) massive buy order.

While Top  closed at HK 0.045 at the end of trading on 22 January 2024, that was not before it fell to a new low o f HK 0.034, after  what seems to be an equally massive sell.Price seems to have been gradually pushed upward by well placed, small buy order.s.

The movement in share price reminds this writer of how Top Group's share price spiked 26% before re-accreditation on 27 June 2019. NSW LPAB personnel should have been the only persons with knowledge of the price sensitive information, and this issue remains unresolved as we approach the next point for re-accreditation, 30 June 2024.

Zhu Minshen's Top Group share price spiked 26% before re-accreditation on 27 June 2019: NSW LPAB personnel should have been the only persons with knowledge of the price sensitive information

 by Ganesh Sahathevan

Zhu Minshen's Top Group share price spiked 26%, from a then new record low of 0.27 HKD, to a high of 0.32 HKD in the week before re-accreditation on 27 June 2019. It continued its climb to a high of 0.36 HKD, from which it has since sunk to a new record low of 0.22 HKD.

NSW LPAB personnel should have been the only persons with knowledge of that price sensitive information; with regards the results of the review, and the date of notification.
