Foreign Minister Penny Wong says the next steps should be taken towards a ceasefire in the Israel-Gaza war, urging Israel to act in accordance with international law as hospital bombings continue.
"Israel
must comply and observe international humanitarian law. We know Hamas is a
terrorist organisation. It has demonstrated it has no respect for international
law, but Australia is a democracy and so, too, is Israel and the standards that
we seek and accept are higher," she told Insiders.
Senator Wong
seems to have forgotten, if not fails to understand, that Israel's tactics in
Gaza are the same methods General Sir Gerald Templer used
to rid Malaysia, her country of birth, of communist terrorists. Wong needs to support Israel in it efforts to rid Gaza of HAMAS.

70 years on Sir Gerald Templer's HUMINT questionnaire combined with his new village methods may help in any project to turn Gaza into Singapore
by Ganesh Sahathevan
The story below from a 1952 edition of Singapore's The Straits Budget describes a method for extracting Human Intelligence (HUMINT) employed by Sir Gerald Templer when he was charged in the early 1950s with putting down the communist insurgency in then Malaya. When the Israel-HAMAS war ends there may well be an opportunity to rid Gaza of insurgents and turn ito into another Singapore.
