70 years on Sir Gerald Templer's HUMINT questionnaire combined with his new village methods may help in any project to turn Gaza into Singapore

The story below from a 1952 edition of  Singapore's The Straits Budget describes a method for extracting Human Intelligence (HUMINT) employed by Sir Gerald Templer when he was charged in the early 1950s with putting down the communist insurgency in then Malaya. When the Israel-HAMAS war ends there may well be an opportunity to rid Gaza of insurgents and turn ito into another Singapore.

The article is worth reading in full for it describes in some detail Templer's method which may be utilised in a conquered Gaza to control, collect and rebuild.
