Crown Casino relied on Chinese high rollers, who are the source of the money laundering allegations
The premier of the Australian state of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, who initiated the recently announced caps on arrivals into Singapore, which will see even more Australian citizens stranded overseas at the expense of foreign governments, has been implicated in covering-up money laundering at the Crown Casino in Melbourne.
The state owned Australian Broadcasting Corporation's investigative 4 Corners programme revealed on Monday that the Andrews Government was the obstacle preventing regulators from investigating money laundering at the Crown Casino in Melbourne. The story included this excerpt:
Three Labor ministers have told ABC $ Corners they believe that Daniel Andrews was too close to Crown. One said money laundering was not properly discussed at cabinet level, and that the Premier had a history of shutting down conversations relating to gambling regulation and Crown casino.
The ABC story went to air on Monday, and Andrews began his campaign of forcing a reduction in arrivals early last week.
