Anwar Ibrahim and associate Farhash Wafa Salvador on the well established caravan trail to Ankara , Turkiye

 by Ganesh Sahathevan

Online paper Malaysia Now is reporting that its journalists, and others, are facing the prospect of being charged for  criminal defamation as a result of their reporting of information about PKR politician   Farhash Wafa Salvador, whose was once Prime Minister and Finance Minister Anwar Ibrahim's political advisor and very likely remains in that role despite both men denying any ongoing connection, the denials being vehemently made when many attributed Farhash's meteoritic rise in wealth after Anwar became Prime Minister and Finance Minister , to that relationship.

The charges against Malaysia Now and others have arisen as a result of  their reporting of information which suggests that Farhas is moving his and Anwar's assets , which are quite subtantial, out of Malaysia ,and possibly other parts of the world, to Turkiye.
That Farhash an Anwar would want to pursue Malaysia Now and other journalists in this matter is curious, given Anwar's history of doing business in and via Turkiye and the Middle East of over 30 years. As this writer reported in 2007, Turkiye is also the refuge of choice for Anwar Ibrahim's business associate Yassin Al-Kadi.
