Anwar Ibrahim has defiantly defended HAMAS and its sponsor Iran's jihadi adventures aginst Israel, and is beleived to have  at least provided logistics for their attacks on Israel. 

At the Repository Bukit Belanja  there are about 50,000 drums containing thorium hydroxide residue, and 37,000 of contaminated materials, which comes under Anwar's control.  

Thorium's utility as a nuclear fuel is a matter of ongoing debate  but that ought not detract from concerns about its use in a nuclear weapon of mss destruction, or a so-called "dirty bomb". Anwar Ibrahim's words in conversation with Iran's President  adds to concerns, given the echoes of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto's Muslim bomb justification for Pakistan's nuclear weapon programme:

"The courage and firm resolve of the Iranian nation in seeking justice is a source of pride for all Muslims. Israel's stance on the nuclear non-proliferation regime is utterly unacceptable, as it possesses all nuclear capabilities itself while seeking to deprive other countries of their legitimate rights."

In light of the above it can be said that Malaysia's potential as a source of proliferation financing is significant.

Phone Call Between Iranian President and Malaysian Prime Minister

Pezeshkian: Iran's steadfast resistance against aggression came at a heavy cost for the enemy


Iranian president and Malaysia prime minister had a phone call on Tuesday June 24, 2025 .

The President noted that the Zionist regime and its supporters had also banked on creating dissatisfaction among the Iranian people, stating: "The Iranian nation once again showed that, despite some issues and grievances, they stand united against enemy aggression until the end, which was very costly and burdensome for the enemies."

He added that the U.S. was not satisfied with this alone and, when the Zionist regime failed to achieve its goals, directly participated in its crimes, attacking Iran's nuclear sites in violation of all international norms and frameworks.



"If the Zionist regime does not violate the ceasefire, Iran will not violate it either. We are ready for dialogue and to pursue and secure the rightful claims of the Iranian nation at the negotiation table."

The Malaysian Prime Minister, in the phone call, condemned the Zionist regime's military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran again, emphasizing: "We strongly support your right to respond to aggression." He added, "The courage and firm resolve of the Iranian nation in seeking justice is a source of pride for all Muslims. Israel's stance on the nuclear non-proliferation regime is utterly unacceptable, as it possesses all nuclear capabilities itself while seeking to deprive other countries of their legitimate rights."
