Pope Francis lying in defence of his 'Fiducia supplicans', there were protest when in 2016 he chose to bless AirAsia's Tony Frenandes, despite AirAsia's well known accounting problems

 by Ganesh Sahathevan

Vatican News quoting Pope Francis has reported:

"Always in confessions, when these situations arrive—homosexual people, remarried people—I always pray and bless. The blessing is not to be denied to anyone. Everyone, everyone. Mind you, I am talking about people: those who are capable of receiving Baptism."

"The gravest sins," the Pope adds, "are those that disguise themselves with a more 'angelic' appearance. No one is scandalised if I give a blessing to an entrepreneur who perhaps exploits people: and this is a very serious sin. Whereas they are scandalised if I give it to a homosexual... This is hypocrisy! We must all respect each other. Everyone! The heart of the document is welcome."

That claim about entrepreneurs is incorrect. There were protest when in 2016 he chose to bless AirAsia's Tony Frenandes, despite AirAsia's well known accounting problems , an example of which can be found at this post:

A copy of the above was sent the Apostolic Nuncio in Australia, so the Pope cannot say that there has been no protest. The Pope appears to be lying in defence of a his 'Fiducia supplicans', as he seems to have done in the case of the protest from the African bishops.

Tony Fernandes meets Pope Francis

BY P. DIVAKARAN

PETALING JAYA: AirAsia group chief executive officer Tan Sri Tony Fernandes has asked Pope Francis to pray for Malaysia so "that all races could love each other and together build a better country".

In an Instagram post on Sunday, Fernandes said that although he has met many leaders, monarchs and celebrities, meeting the Pope was "incredible", adding that his father would have been "super happy".

Fernandes also posted a picture of himself shaking hands with the Pope during his recent visit to the Vatican.

"He (Pope Francis) gave me encouragement that business leaders can make a difference to society and gave me the energy to continue. Simple, humble, smart, outspoken, a man of the people," he said.

Fernandes said that he had asked the Pope to pray for Malaysia "so that all races could love each other and together build a better country".

"He (Pope Francis) opened my eyes and gave me energy and strength to continue to do good," he added.

Earlier in the week, Fernandes said he was looking forward to his meeting with Pope Francis, asking Facebook followers for ideas on what he should say or ask His Holiness.
