Malaysia 's most respected adviser on matters of international law, Sir Elihu Lauterpacht , said (a)vacuum of sovereignty existed until Israel occupied east Jerusalem by a lawful act of self-defense and thus was entitled to fill the gap

According to Sir Elihu Lauterpacht (a)vacuum of sovereignty existed until Israel occupied east Jerusalem by a lawful act of self-defense and thus was entitled to fill the gap.

The Government of Malaysia is a Principal Benefactor of his Lauterpacht Centre for International Law. Lauterpacht represented Malaysia at the International Court of Justice in the matter of Sipadan and Litigan against Indonesia, and later in the matter of Pedra Branca against Singapore. 


Malaysia does not accept the very existence of the State Of Israel.
