Volodymyr Zelenskyy called " on Australia to join reconstruction work in Ukraine::
the Australian government has given us the status of a solidarity country. I invite your country to pay attention to our southern regions, the shores of the Black and Azov. Seas. The restoration of our ports, the development of cities like Kherson, the revival of the Ukrainian navy can be significant contributions to the establishment of stability after this terrible war,” the Ukrainian leader said in a video address to the Australian Parliament.
The offer has in fact been made, and it can be confirmed in the ABC recording above, from 19:45 onwards. The contracts would be worth very many billions in Australian dollars, and Zelensky has in fact suggested that Ukranians in Australia could join in the effort, presumably as intermediaries between the Ukranian Government and Australian companies.
