NSW Law Soc's College Of Law prices legal skills course in UK 25% below AUD 9640 levied on Australian PLT candidates: College relies on taxpayer funded FEE-HELP to finance its operations, overseas expansion

Law Gazette UK  has reported:

The College of Legal Practice (a wholly-owned subsidiary of the NSW Law Society's College Of Law)...... has designed a range of virtual programmes, including a SQE1 preparation course costing £1,800 and a SQE2 preparation course costing £2,300.The SQE programmes are available as a 12-week full-time course or a 20-week part-time course.

The subsidiary of Australasia’s foremost legal education provider gave notice in 2019 that it planned to ‘uberise’ solicitor training in England and Wales by providing fully digitalised SQE courses.

The £ 4,100 total it charges for the SQE is roughly AUD 7315; 25% less than the AUD 9640 Australian and in particular NSW law students  are levied for the PLT

Australasia’s foremost legal education provider is dependent on taxpayer funded Commonwealth FEE HELP payments for its revenue. Despite that fact it has lost market share in Australia

The College is in essence using its relatively stable government funded revenue to "disrupt" the UK legal education market.

The College's Malaysian LLM  venture remains shrouded in mystery.
