Chief Marketing Officer

The College of Law has been at the forefront of practical legal education since 1974 and operates in the market of the post-tertiary education and training for the Australian, New Zealand (UK) and the United Kingdom (UK) legal professions.
The College’s Mission is to enhance the careers of legal professionals across Australasia and the United Kingdom through the delivery of innovative, practice-focused legal education and training. The College of Law is looking for a talented leader to join the team at our Sydney Corporate office at St Leonard’s.
Purpose of the position
The Chief Marketing Officer leads the development and execution of the Marketing Strategy for the College in Australasia and internationally.
This role provides advice to the Boards and Executive Management team on the College’s brand and positioning, with a focus on building the College’s brand in the international market.
Key Accountabilities
  • Lead the formulation and development of the College’s Marketing Strategy
  • Lead the marketing team in the execution of the College’s Marketing Strategy
  • Oversee the management of market research to inform the marketing strategy and plan.
  • Provide advice to the Boards and the Executive team on the College’s brand strategy, local and international.
  • Oversee and promote the awareness and integrity of the College’s brand in the local and international market.
  • Conduct revenue yield analysis to inform customer segmentation and product offerings.
  • Oversee the development of all marketing support systems including the public websites, marketing automation system, ecommerce and social media sites
Experience, Skills and Attributes
  • Tertiary qualifications in Marketing or Business. MBA is desirable.
  • Experience working at an executive level or senior management level.
  • Demonstrated leadership attributes.
  • Substantial experience in development and execution of marketing strategies and branding.
  • Forward thinking and future focused.
  • Innovative thinker.
  • Ability to build relationships with industry and the business community.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to communicate with influence across a broad audience.
  • Membership of professional body e.g. Marketing or Business
